Ravens Get Revenge Over Tough Terrors by Jason Kirkpatrick

The last time the Comfort Keeper Raven and Swick Tech Terrors met in action, the coaches had to lengthen the pitch to give our mighty hurlers room to play. Soon, these pint-sized powerhouses will need extra width as well to show off their skills. Today though, the U11s would square off on a hot morning with even hotter action on the pitch.

The Ravens struck first with their frenzied offensive charge and took the early lead. Communication on the field was great for Swick Tech though, and they were able to get the passing game going to try and counter the Comfort Keeper scoring campaign. Caleb “Bruiser” Fortier popped off passes as fast as he could grab them to help give his Swick Tech team some scoring opportunities. The Comfort Keepers’ held tight though, thanks to strong defensive efforts from Serena “Pop-Up” Kielley and Cooper “Squeaks” Larsen who were hovering around the box like hawks.

Aidan “Bones” Chojnacki and Sean Patrick “Bobblehead” Fehrenbach both netted goals as the Comfort Keepers continued their charge. The Ravens were using all the tools of their team as Rowan “Wolverine” Karrer struck a zinger through the posts to cause the Terrors a little concern. But soon, Swick Tech was showing they could stop the Ravens’ run by putting a few well-timed hooks on the Comfort Keeper shooters. On the other end, the Terrors were putting together plays and snapping off dangerous attempts on the keeper, as Calvin “Hobbes” McKee was able to put his team into the game with a point. However it was the resilient Ravens that would take the lead into halftime.
