one in the net. Driving several times towards the goal, the Gael Winds were turned back by Silver Spring House’s Captain Dave Olson led defense. The Heavyweight father son team of Mike and Nolan Hoffmann transitioned the ball well. Silver Spring’s “Stay Calm and Take Your Point” mentality seemed to work as Ingebrigtson put up a myriad of points; inspiring Heavyweight Rookie Kevin MacDonald to score his first point of the season. As the heated quarter came to an end, Silver Spring Had pushed themselves into a healthy lead of 0-15 (15) to 0-3 (3).

The final quarter was no-holds-barred time. McBob’s Gael Wind forward Dan Christenson managed a goal after a brilliant initial shot blocked by the Gael Winds. Stoic determination showed on each of McBob’s players. Suzanne Beck, flying out towards the middle of the field got in a scrap. A loud thwack resounded off of her shin causing the sidelines to collectively cringe with an audible gasp. The strike did not seem to phase the second year Gael Wind player as she continued to scrap for possession of the ball.

Meanwhile, Silver Spring House continued with their game plan. “We don’t look like a team that’s only been playing together for two games,” astoundedly stated Ingebrigtson speaking about how well the team is coming together early in the season. Their dedication to teamwork and waiting for good shot seemed to pay off. They finally found the back of the net twice, padding an already comfortable lead and securing their victory with a final score of 2-19 (25) to 1-4 (7).
