and eventually Rosa and Don came through in Rosa’ s MGF. I thought that Roger and Caroline Boylan should have been next, but after a while, I thought I had just miscalculated. In fact, Roger had stopped for petrol and then the car has coughed and spluttered and come to a halt. Out with the hammer( a must in the MG tool roll) a couple of taps to the fuel pump and they were underway again.
In spite of my directions, all arrived at the Balhannah Hotel for lunch. It was going to be one of THOSE days – the power was out when we arrived, but the staff had everything under control and we enjoyed our lunch. The power came back on time to heat the Christmas pudding. There was some discussion between Nick Micklem and Murray Stephenson about the possibility of Nick entering his ZR in the National Meeting – watch this space – I think he is keen to“ have a go” around Mallala
