Lifestyle Swimming Instruction – Lifestyle Swimming Instruction is a family run swimming instruction facility in Boise. The teacher and owner, Susanne Van Buren is certified to teach swimming along with having an elementary education background. They have group and private swimming lessons, water aerobics classes and birthday parties.
Why “Mama Approved?” - Linda Larkin, who is currently taking lessons at LSI is 5 for local flair, 5 for customer oriented because the level of training by the instructor, as will all toys and life jackets and "6" (5 wasn't high enough) for friendly service. Babe on a Budget – Located off of Fairview in Boise, this boutique provides new and new to you ladies fashions.
Why “Mama Approved?” - Always a warm welcome and excellent customer service. Coffee, tea and water served. Personal attention in helping you select the items you need. Objective and honest feedback on how things look on you. It is somewhat kid friendly, however it is much more fun to shop without the kiddos in tow. So we give it a four out of 5 for that reason.
Sockeye Brewery & Grill – located in West Boise off of Cole and Ustick as well as off of Fairview near the Eagle Road interchange. A local brewery and grill, home to Idaho’s #1 beer – Dagger Falls IPA. It’s owners Fred and Linda Schuerman, since 2004, along with brewers Josh King and Kevin Bolen, have a 12,000 square foot brewing and canning facility in west Boise—a “Sockeye hatchery”—where brews are created utilizing our 20-barrel system, with a 12,000 barrel-per-year capacity. Canning is able to occur at a rate of 40 cans per minute.
Why “Mama Approved?”- The brewery and grill are a great place to meet up with your friends and have good food and drinks. It is also really family friendly. Live music outside on their patio every Friday with an eclectic group of local singers and songwriters are a wonderful addition for your summer outings. The food is always fresh and healthy and the beers are amazing!
