Chemainus
The little town
that did it!

Today my feet led me to a beautiful
town, hidden on Vancouver islands east
shore – Chemainus, a charming little place
snuggled in between a mountain range and
the ocean, isolated with a river cutting it off
from the south.
To get there, one has to take the BC
Ferry to go to Vancouver Island. That
wasn't the easy part. I was on the line for
almost two hours, waiting in the car for the
next empty ferry, one after another, until I
finally got a spot at the very end of the car
park inside the boat. I was the very last
