A Son’ s Promise:
There are not enough words in this world to truly express how grateful I am for everything you’ ve done for me, Mom. But today, I want to try, from the depths of my heart.
When we lived as refugees, life was anything but easy. We faced hardships that many can’ t imagine. But even in the midst of all that struggle, you stood strong. You were my shelter when the world felt so cold and uncertain. You carried so many responsibilities, and yet, you never let me feel the weight of them. You protected me from everything going on around us, and you made sure that I kept going, especially when it came to my education. I will never forget what you’ ve done for me, and I promise, I will honor your sacrifices with every step I take

The Metro North ABE Blaine Learning Lab is excited to announce its partnership with Granny’ s Closet, a wonderful local non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for seniors and adults with disabilities in Anoka and Sherburne Counties. Granny’ s Closet operates entirely on the generosity of the community and the tireless efforts of its volunteers. They provide essential items like clothing, personal care products, and household goods— all free of charge— to clients referred by social workers. This invaluable service helps individuals stretch their limited budgets and maintain their dignity.
Our donation efforts focused on collecting items that are consistently in high demand, including new

More than anything, I want to create a better future not just for myself, but for the people who believed in me... and even for those who didn’ t.

We were thrilled by the enthusiastic response from our students, staff, and the wider community, which showcased the strong spirit of generosity present in Blaine. teacher Susan Clark mentioned,“ It took all of my Jeep, and Laura T’ s parents’ van, And Laura’ s own vehicle, and they were all full! The volunteers at the drop-off were stunned, I think. It was a great surprise( they came out with a small cart to start). I am so thankful for all the generous help. It will make a positive impact on lots of people who need assistance!”
This initiative is part of Granny’ s Closet’ s“ Collective Caring” monthly drive program, and we are honored to be a recent sponsor. We believe in supporting organizations that make a direct and positive impact on the lives of our neighbors. By contributing to Granny’ s Closet, we
