RENEWABLE ENERGY
OBJECTIVES
Test and improve students knowledge of renewable energy, advantages and disadvantages of
various forms of renewable energy and how the energy works;
TEACHING STRATEGIES
with group works students will research and learn about renewable energies and create
presentations to explain advantages and disadvantages of various forms of renewable energy and
how the energy works
TEACHING METHOD
Group work: an effective method to motivate students, encourage active learning, and develop key
critical-thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Brainstorming about renewable energy;
Group work: Students have to research the advantages and disadvantages of various forms of
renewable energy and how the energy works;
Students have to produce a piece of promotional material using ITC (padlet, glogster, canva, prezi,
...) brochures, posters, leaflets or presentations to „sell‟ a form of renewable energy. Promotional
material should include a description of how the energy works, a list of its features and benefits
and diagrams or illustrations.
