THE WINNERS The winner of the primary spelling bee was Sophie Emberton. The winner of the intermediate spelling bee was Lacy Hockensmith. when she was interviewed about the spelling bee she stated," I was very nervous. I had trouble with some words, but I got them right. In the district spelling bee, they gave me middle school words. I can't even pronounce the word I spelled wrong, but I still had fun." The winner of the district spelling bee was a 4th grader from Bridgeport Elementary. His name was Aathman Bhavaraju. AWESOME ADVICE If you want to win a spelling bee in the future, study hard. Whenever you have some free time, read a book! Reading can increase your vocabulary. So if you take my advice, you might make your way to a great win.
