Merri Health joined community members and Merri-bek City Council to champion LGBTIQA + health .
We celebrated IDAHOBIT , International Day Against LGBTIQA + Discrimination ( May 17 ), by hosting a special panel discussion and events at our sites .
Over 100 community members listened intently as panel speakers Nevo Zisin , Budi Sudarto , and Danielle Laidley shared their unique lived experiences in an emotional discussion .
Merri Health CEO Tassia Michaleas emphasised the importance of inclusive health services for LGBTIQA + communities .
As a Rainbow Tick accredited provider , we support and champion LGBTIQA + health and equality .
Across our sites staff supported the launch of our Getting Pronouns Right campaign and flew their rainbow colours at morning tea events !

More support for new parents
Adjusting to pregnancy or a new baby can be very challenging as well as joyful for new parents .
We are delighted that the Victorian Government has increased funding for our Family Foundations program , which supports new and expecting parents and families .
The Victorian Government ’ s support acknowledges the program ’ s outstanding results and will enable us to support more families .
Comprising 10 FREE sessions , Family Foundations is an evidence-based program which supports new parents to strengthen their relationship and baby bond , delivered by coaching specialists .
