The Meridian Restorations Foundation Inc . held its popular Mixing Spirits for Merrehope Tuesday , Oct . 15 , at Union Station in downtown Meridian . A sold-out crowd gathered for an evening of tantalizing cocktails and savory food pairings inspired by the Spirits of the city ’ s historic home museum . Guests savored the four-course tasting experience while meandering through the upstairs railroad rooms and out on the open-air deck overlooking the rail yard , sipping cocktails created especially for the evening by Weidmann ’ s expert mixologists . Guests were allowed to vote from four signature cocktails — My Fair Cottage , RunAway Train , Frozen in Thyme and Moonlit Martini — for their favorite with Moonlit Martini coming out on top .
