The more than $ 16 million generated from private foundations and partners affirms that investing in GMercyU’ s mission and core values is critical to the future of the communities they serve. These gifts included:
$ 1.25 million dollar grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. as part of the Thriving Congregations Initiative, which encourages flourishing congregations by helping them deepen their relationships with God, enhance their connections with each other, and contribute to the vitality of their communities and the world
$ 150,000 from the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation to support 75 students who are 25 years of age or older pursuing their first undergraduate degree with the cost of tuition
$ 368,000 from the W. W. Smith Charitable Trust to name 55 Smith Scholars and assist with the cost of their tuition
$ 83,000 from the Child Development Foundation to support the attendance of more than 300 participants at GMercyU’ s Autism Institute ' s Annual Conference each year
$ 40,000 from The Windmill Foundation to support 28 students who are 25 years of age or older pursuing their first undergraduate degree or students studying abroad
$ 285,000 from the George I. Alden Trust awarded for a 3D Anatomy and Simulation Lab in the Frances M. Maguire ' 55 Healthcare Innovation Center
