This year ’ s Dorset Wine Festival will be headlined by one of the world ’ s leading wine experts Oz Clarke , as it returns for a second year at 10 Castle Street in Cranborne on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July .

The award-winning writer and BBC TV presenter is known for being able to get across his vast wine expertise with infectious enthusiasm and will be giving talks on both days of the festival . The focus this year will be South African wines along with homegrown English sparkling , as well as natural organic and bio-dynamic wines which all get their own area . Expect to sip wines from an international cast of producers from France , Italy , Spain , Australia , Argentina , Lebanon , and New Zealand , many of which are unavailable to try anywhere else .
Alex Boon , Festival Director , said : " We are delighted to
have Oz Clarke on board for this year ’ s festival and couldn ' t think of anyone more suited to headline our second event . The area of special interest this year will be Southern Africa where we have spent a great deal of time sourcing and tasting some incredible wines for you to try ."
The festival will offer talks throughout the day from wine experts , producers , growers and winemakers . If you make it along you can try wine samplings and pairings accompanied by live entertainment , art displays and a range of great food .
