FIVE KEY STORYLINES
1 NACCTASTIC START: The Sabres open conference play 2-0 for the first time since the
start of the 2007-08 season when they won their first five league contests.
2 SERIES NOTES: Marian and Wisconsin Lutheran will meet for the 53rd time in the alltime series and neither team has the edge. The Sabres and Warriors are deadlocked at 26 wins
apiece. Rockford holds a 9-7 advantage in 16 meetings all-time entering Saturday.
3 CONTROLLING THE GLASS: The Sabres are 3-0 this season when outrebounding
their opponents. In the three wins, Marian holds a combined +48 rebounding margin, while
suffering a combined -18 deficit on the glass in its three losses.
4 NEARING THE 1,000-POINT CLUB: Seniors Cody Veleke (984) and Jeff Harris
(975) are very near to eclipsing the prestigious mark. Senior Sam Koslowski is also within
reach, needing just 228 points to reach 1,000.
5 A LOOK AHEAD: Marian returns home next week for two as Edgewood comes to town
Wed., Dec. 11, for a 7 p.m. start before a match-up with Concordia Chicago Sat., Dec. 14, at 2 p.m.
