Possible Solutions to the Issue:
When it comes to solving the problem of permafrost we cannot simply go out and simply refreeze the ground and lower the climate. To find a solution to this issue we need to look at its causes and solve those first, and what is its main cause? Global warming. So in order to provide ways that this issue could be fixed I have looked into the main causes of global warming and have come up with ways where we can either get them down to a manageable level, or eradicate them completely.
Firstly, deforestation. As we cut down more and more trees we not only cut down producers that are taking in carbon dioxide( a notorious greenhouse gas) and henceforth lessening the amount in the atmosphere, but trees are also carbon storers. This means that when we cut them down, we are not only leaving the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that it could have taken in, but we are also releasing even more into the air as we burn and cut down the trees. To solve this, I have a solution with three parts. One, constant surveillance of our forests. If we were to set up satellites monitoring the forests along with sentinels around and throughout the forest we could lower the amount of trees being illegally cut down immediately. I would also propose that to help with this, that the trees be covered in a very fine, invisible mesh, which when disturbed by something forceful, such as an axe or bulldozer, and if the mesh starts to burn, it would send a signal into the air that would immediately alert the people monitoring the satellites and those in the forest of the fact that the tree was being disturbed, and would also show them exactly where the tree was so that the culprits could be apprehended. This would not only protect the trees, but would also provide jobs for the countless unemployed, so it is essentially hitting two birds with one stone. The second part would be to implement laws to make certain areas which would be the ones being monitored, illegal to cut down trees in, so that all of this could be justified. Lastly, I would want to create a material that could be easily produced that could be a replacement of wood, and where else to turn but the very quickly evolving industry of 3D printing. If we could print a new material that looked the exact same or at least very similar to wood out of sustainable and cheap materials, then we could greatly decrease the demand for wood as well, as suddenly there would be a far cheaper product that looked and felt the exact same as wood. And then it simply becomes common sense to go for this option considering its much cheaper price. This would lower the demand for wood, and henceforth lower the demand to cut down excess amounts trees, so that companies who did do it, would have no reason to anyway, as far less people would be buying their products. This solution would mean that the number of trees being cut down would decrease greatly, leaving
