So , in conclusion to my solutions I must evaluate what I think is the best one . This I find to be extremely difficult , as I feel that if both these ideas were perfected , and started alongside each other I feel like we could receive very effective results that would allow us to easily slow down the melting of permafrost until we could find a solution that could solve the problem once and for all . But in terms of realisticness with the time schedule that we have with this issue , and how fast the permafrost is melting , I feel like nuclear power in this situation would be our best bet . It can be easily and quickly implemented as we already have the technology to do it and already know how to keep it safe which is something that would be highly essential for the solution to be effective . I also feel that it would be far more adequet in solving the issue in than stopping deforestation as fossil fuels are a bigger contributor than the cutting down of trees , and they are a far more pressing issue in my opinion as there is the high possibility of us running out and if we were simply to just stop the cutting down of trees , fossil fuels would still be a major issue and at least this way we can stop a huge outputter of CO 2 before we start focusing on things such as trees , so there would be slightly less pressure as we do . It is for these reasons that I feel like nuclear power would be the best solution here , as not only would it stop the emissions of greenhouse gases , but it would give us time to develop other more long term solutions that would stop the melting in its tracks . The extra time would also mean if we were to implement them , we could be completely sure that they wouldn ’ t have any big negative side effects .
Conclusion :
In conclusion I can definitely say that in my personal opinion this is a very serious issue . With all this evidence I feel that we simply have to acknowledge the melting of the permafrost and all the consequences that come with it . If we were to simply ignore this issue , we will most definitely find ourselves facing a massive crisis , with the sinking land and rapidly rising temperature . It is for these reasons that I feel that serious action needs to be taken , both with the education of people on permafrost , ( as I ’ m sure that many outside of the countries that are suffering badly from its melting and softening ground don ’ t know much about it ) and with that would also come the education of why this is a very serious issue and how it could affect generations to come . Action also has to be taken , and fast , about stopping our rising greenhouse gas emissions and getting them down to a manageable level otherwise not only will we be suffering because of melting permafrost , but also because of all the effects that it is going to have on our oceans . And once the ocean start to go downhill , we ’ re all going downhill .
