Tagungserlebnis Tegernsee association signs“ rightandfair” code of conduct
n More than 340 companies and institutions in the event industry have signed“ rightandfair”, the sustainability code of conduct that was developed by the GCB and EVVC. One example is Tagungserlebnis Tegernsee e. V.( TET), a partnership of companies in the Tegernsee region.
The first sustainability workshop for the member companies of TET – over 40 hotels, event agencies, transport companies and other companies from the Tegernsee valley – was held on March 21 st, 2013, at the Haus des Gastes venue in Tegernsee. In an official public avowal, the participants in attendance committed themselves to strive for more awareness in dealing with the environment and nature in future as well as concern for employees, customers and the people of the region.
In September 2012 during a quality conference, TET already informed its partners about the sustainability code of conduct entitled“ rightandfair” and the next implementation steps that were planned.“ We initially wanted to raise awareness for the issue of ecological, economical and social sustainability among our colleagues. Subsequently, various partner companies then examined the thematic area intensively together with us and developed a logo as well as their own guidelines for future work in the Tegernsee region in line with the motto“ Meeting naturally in Tegernsee”,” reports Michael Götz, Managing Director of Tagungserlebnis Tegernsee and Head of Product Development & Event Management at Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH.
