soloist with regional symphonies and the winner of the district Metropolitan Opera Awards . Rosemary made her TCR debut last May as Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music .
DAVID GATES GRANDPA PROPHATER David Gates is a veteran of many productions in hometown Vinton , but this is his first at TCR . He describes the wise and all-knowing " Grandpa Prophater " as " the old man of the family , who is kind of happy golucky , and enjoys life ”. He thinks the audience should be prepared for fun and laughter but " may need a dictionary for older time words and phrases ." He hopes the audiences enjoy the upbeat nature of the show .
KAYLA LANSING LUCILLE BALLARD / ENSEMBLE This will be Kayla ’ s fourth TCR show following Rodgers and Hammerstein ’ s Cinderella , Kinky Boots , and Elephant and Piggie . Kayla is so excited to be back on the stage doing what she loves best ! She would like to say thank you to her family and cats , as well as the cast , crew , and her wonderful theatre friends for supporting her throughout this process and reminding her of the joy of community theatre . RHYLEE LARSON TOOTIE SMITH Rhylee is so thankful to be a part of another holiday show at TCR ! Her most recent roles include “ Brigitta Von Trapp ” in The Sound of Music , “ Ivanka ” in Once , and “ Ariel ” in The Little Mermaid Jr at TCR over the summer . HADDIE LEVAKE AGNES SMITH Haddie is delighted to be back on the TCR stage after having appeared in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Matilda the Musical . She has had a blast being a part of the Smith family on stage and would like to thank her own family for being her biggest fans .
JENNY LONG ENSEMBLE Jenny is elated to be back on stage . This is her second time in a production at TCR . She was recently a nun in The Sound of Music . She currently works as a social studies teacher at Marion High School . She would like to say thank you to the cast and crew for being so welcoming and making the show so fun ! VANESSA LUND ENSEMBLE / CO-DANCE CAPTAIN Vanessa is excited for her second show with Theatre Cedar Rapids , after appearing in Hello , Dolly ! in 2019 . You may have seen her recently on the TCR stage as Kate Murphey in Revival Theatre Company ’ s production of Titanic . Vanessa graduated from Mount Mercy University with a degree in computer science earlier this year and now works as an application developer . She would like to thank her parents and her bestie Avery for their support .
