Congratulations to our hall of fame inductees

Each fall, the FSU College of Medicine inducts a select group of alumni and distinguished faculty into the FSU Medical Alumni Hall of Fame. Originally established as the Distinguished Alumni Award from 2014 to 2019, the Hall of Fame recognizes physicians and physician assistants for their outstanding contributions to the health of all people through patient care, research, leadership, service, and / or health services administration, as well a demonstration of the high principles of the medical profession.
More than 50 members have been inducted into the FSU Medical Alumni Hall of Fame. This year, we welcome five new deserving members, who will be recognized at the annual Hall of Fame Dinner & Induction Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the AC Hotel in Tallahassee. The evening will feature a live band and afterparty as a celebratory conclusion to Alumni Weekend 2026.

BRANDON ALLEN, M. D.( CLASS OF 2010)
While a medical student, Brandon Allen, M. D., excelled as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. In 2013, he completed the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Shands Hospital and was chief resident. This past summer, he was promoted to professor of emergency medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
During his 13-year career with UF Health, Allen served in a variety of clinical and academic roles, including associate professor of emergency medicine & cardiology, attending emergency physician, chest pain center medical director and emergency department clinical decision unit medical director. A board-certified emergency physician, Allen is also a faculty member at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he serves as clinical associate professor of emergency medicine and emergency medicine administrative fellowship director. From 2021-2023, he was the vice chair of clinical operations for the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida.
Last December, Allen completed a certification in health care administration, leadership and management with the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He has also earned certifications in healthcare change management and executive healthcare leadership from Cornell University. As of January 2014, he is an American Board of Emergency Medicine diplomate.
