TIMING
Please note that your timing chip is on your race number , you do not need to wear a chip on your shoe . Please do not bend your race number .
MEDICAL MATTERS
Netcare 911 are our medical support provider , and will provide roving ambulances and a medical tent at the finish venue . If you feel ill at the finish , you should visit the medics for a quick check-up .
Note : Do not run if you are feeling ill or have the flu . Please consult your doctor before participating in our event if you have any preexisting conditions . If you should need medical assistance out on the race route please contact Netcare 911 on : 082 911
PERSONAL SAFETY NOTICE
There have been incidents of bag-tampering at events . The organisers ask that you please be aware of the people around you , and keep your bag close to your person on the front of your body . If you notice any person tampering with bags , please notify us immediately . For extra safety , we suggest you drop your bags off at our secured Tog Bag area – look out for the directional signage on race day .
The 32 km , 21 km , and 10 km will be timed gun to mat . The 5 km will not be timed . You must cross the start line within 10 minutes of the starting gun in order to be an official starter in the race . As per IAAF and ASA Rules prizes will be awarded strictly on gun-to-finish-mat time .
The 5 km is considered a fun run and will not be timed
CUT-OFF TIMES
• 32 km – 4 hours 30 minutes
• 21 km – 3 hours 30 minutes
• 10 km – 2 hours 30 minutes
• 5 km – 1 hour 30 minutes
32 km runners who have not reached 16 km in 2hrs 15mins will be pulled off the route
Sweep / rescue buses will be roving along the route to pick up runners that do not make the cut-off times , or those who cannot complete the race for any reason . If you are picked up , you will be disqualified from the race and you will not receive a finishing time .
PRIZE GIVING
08:30 – prize giving for 10km runners and walkers 09:30 – prize giving for 21 km and 32 km runners
