Get moving @ sunrise !
Here ’ s all the important information you need ahead of running the Medihelp Sunrise Monster on 2 March , 2024 .
NUMBER COLLECTION
Collect your race number from the race number collection venues listed below . Please be sure to bring the race number confirmation e-mail or sms with you to Number Collection .
• Thursday 29 February in Johannesburg , from 11h00 - 17h00 – Running High , Shop 2 Bedford Arcade , 55 Van Buuren Road , Bedfordview .
• Friday 1 March in Pretoria , from 11h00 - 18h00 – Harlequin Running Club , 56 Totius Street , Groenkloof
• Saturday 2 March in Pretoria , from 04h30 - 05h30 – Harlequin Running Club , 56 Totius street , Groenkloof
Collecting on behalf of others : Entrants are able to collect race numbers for fellow runners PROVIDED they bring a copy of the fellow runners ID or driver ’ s licence together with a signed permission letter and the fellow runner ’ s race entry confirmation .
Temporary Licences ( 32 km , 21 km & 10 km ) Runners who are not registered with a club and running province must have purchased a temporary licence , costing R60 for the 10 km , 21 km , and 32 km . A temporary license means those runners are now eligible for insurance from ASA for the duration of the race only .
Late entries will be accepted on race day . Race pack collection will be available on race day .

PARKING NOTES
Please refer to page 10 for the parking map . There will be two parking areas :
• FREE parking is available at SA Bureau of Standards .
• Parking at Pretoria Rugby Club will also be available for a cost of R20 per vehicle .
Please note that all parking is at own risk .
TOG BAGS
Tog bag area will be available at own risk . Please note that , although all possible security precautions will be taken , tog bags are kept at the owner ’ s risk . All participants must comply with security arrangements and instructions .
WATER POINTS
There are water points approximately every 3 km fully stocked with water , cooldrink and ice . There are also portaloos , placed along the route .
# RunGreen Medihelp is dedicated to minimal environmental impact events . We encourage runners to use their own pre-filled water bottles and hydration packs when participating in the Sunrise Monster .
THE START
The 32 km , 21 km , 10 km and 5 km races start and finish at the Harlequin Running Club .
• 32 km & 21 km start at 06h03
• 10 km at 06h30
• 5 km at 06h45
Please plan accordingly for your start time .
THE FINISH
Once you are over the finish line , you will receive cold water and aQuellé Khula or flavoured water . The Finish Venue for all races is the Harlequin Running Club , 56 Totius street ., Groenkloof , where you are welcome to put up club gazebos on the Friday before the race , but note that space is available on a first come , first served basis .
Medals for finishers :
• To the first 2000 finishers in the 32 km
• To the first 1000 finishers in the 21 km
• To the first 2300 finishers in the 10 km
• To the first 1000 finishers in the 5 km
Club gazebos are welcome and may be erected at your own risk after 12:00 on Friday , 1 March as per the organisers ’ field allocation . Overnight security will be present . NO cars will be allowed on the field on race morning and any trailers / gazebos will have to be pushed / carried to the designated club areas
