Body Mass Index
CONDITIONS
o Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to have a body mass index of at least 18 kg / m2, but no higher than 32 kg / m2, at the point of the entry medical examination.
Musculoskeletal conditions
o Hypermobility( laxity) of the joints o Anterior or posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction o Fractures within the last 12 months( except fractures of the digits / clavicles) o Severe deformity following fractures o Loss of a limb o Replacement of any large joints o Fibromyalgia or chronic arthritis o A history of back pain lasting longer than 12 weeks is normally unfit o Any history of sciatica o Use of a wheelchair or other mobility aids
Psychiatric conditions
o Any current psychiatric symptoms or illness o Any symptoms of depression in the last 12 months, or 2 or more episodes of depression, or depression lasting more than 2 years o Any symptoms of anxiety within the last 12 months, or 2 or more episode of anxiety o Schizophrenia, psychosis, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or personality disorder o Autistic spectrum disorders, including Asperger’ s Syndrome, are normally unfit o Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder( ADHD) unless symptom and treatment free for 1 year
