Have you done any adventurous training ?
Yes , a squash tour to Lanzarote , where I also went scuba diving and learnt to wind-surf . I have also been skiing a few times with the RAF which is brilliant because you can always find someone to ski with at your level and the après-ski needs no training ! One of my Squadron Leader colleagues organised a day ’ s rockclimbing with his Dental Team . There is also the opportunity for Force Development to learn more about the environment you work in . One colleague had a flight in a Chinook helicopter whilst based at RAF Shawbury , another in a Typhoon and I was privileged enough to be given a flight in a Harrier T10 before it later went out of service .
