“Then I approached the ships at the high of 1.000 to 1.500 feet… When I got near by one of the
ships I fired. After I fired, I immediately made a curve to the high and it was that moment when
my fuel tank was hit. I flew the plane as fast as possible to the coast so that I could use my
parachute…When I jumped from the plane, my foot stuck and I got injuries. I also saw my radio
operator also jumped. I landed on the island of Amboina. I voluntarily surrender myself to the
men who cought me on the island”.
