MEC International Students Day By TY Student Siobhan Dalayap O n November 14th, the annual International Day event took place in the school’s assembly hall. Much like every other year, it provided the new first year students with the opportunity to explore the different countries and cultures represented within our own student population. With such a large community of international students, the hall was filled with bright, diverse stands representing countries from around the globe including places such as: Japan, Switzerland, Brazil and many, many more! Although it was a day for the first years to learn and meet new students, it also proved to be an enjoyable event for the students who took part. From researching about their own countries to making posters and even dressing up in traditional clothing, it encouraged them to discover their own roots and take pride in where they came from. It was a day full of celebration and camaraderie between the international students. A special big thank you to Ms. English, Mr. Ezan and Ms. Merrigan for organising yet another successful international day! #WeAreDiverse Some more photos from our highly-regarded Careers Night, November 14 th Thank you to our guidance team and MEC PTA for coordinating it and to all the fantastic volunteers who gave up their evening to support our students.
