Passion & Leadership

Hailing from a small school in a small town in India, there was not much emphasis on reading books and I had never read one before entering my undergraduate college. So, I inculcated the habit of reading books in the first year of college and during second year I stumbled upon the unauthorized biography of Steve Jobs: iCon. This book, along with The McKinsey Way, gave me a glimpse of the business world.

Hooked to business books, I was fascinated by concepts such as the principles that underlie Toyota’s production system and the Six Sigma doctrine developed by Motorola. Reading about the gutsiest move made by Darwin Smith at Kimberly-Clark to sell all the paper mills to the rise and fall of Long-Term Capital Management, I wanted to get to the core of business administration.
