PRINTMAKING | Jazmina Cininas
REDUCTION LINOCUT INTENSIVE

In this seven day intensive workshop, you will be
taken through the various steps required to master
the reduction linocut medium, creating your own
edition of multi coloured prints from a single piece
of linoleum. Through hands on demonstrations and
ongoing guidance, you will learn how to creatively
carve and print your lino block to get more from your
image, as well as methods for ensuring accurate
registration for a
perfectly aligned print.
This class is best suited
to intermediate or
advanced printmakers.
Jazmina Cininas is a
Melbourne based artist
who lectures in printmaking
and artists’ books at RMIT
School of Art. For over
two decades, Cininas has
been charting the various
incarnations of the female werewolf as a vehicle for her
printmaking practice, completing her PhD research project,
The Girlie Werewolf Hall of Fame in 2014. Her artwork is
in many public collections, including the National Gallery
of Victoria, the Victorian Arts Centre, Broken Hill Regional
Gallery and the Alice Springs Art Foundation.
