Such education must be faithful to true history, not biased, nor incite violence or hatred.

It was Einstein who said that insanity is repeating the same mistakes whilst expecting a different outcome! If we truly want to see positive change then we must help these people to be the change they (and we) want to see. Blaming problems on others will not achieve anything; both sides must walk the royal road to maturity by facing their mistakes, finding solutions and working together to achieve them. We firmly believe young Palestinians and Israelis can do this and want to facilitate such opportunities in the future.

For future negotiations to prosper the current leadership needs to seriously re-evaluate its agendas. For example, the Palestinian leadership has allied itself to Hamas, whose mandate seeks the destruction of Israel, something we believe is a serious mistake that will negatively impact Palestinians themselves. One only has to look at the last eight years of Gaza’s history to see what the West Bank / Judea and Samaria could look like under a Hamas leadership.

In the interim period the Israeli government needs to address matters such as its own youth who commit acts of violence and vandalism, or its citizens who behave so very poorly in Hebron. Palestinian children must be stopped from engaging the IDF by rock throwing and violating the Geneva Convention; and IDF soldiers must learn more restraint and not shoot without genuine cause.
