Just four and a half years ago in a basement in St. Louis, Jim Staley and 25 other individuals were following the leading of the God of Israel in developing a ministry focusing on the Spirit and the Truth of the Bible. Before that, he worked in corporate finance but felt a strong call on his life to leave that world not turning back to look behind him to follow God’s leading. This decision has led to an international ministry, Passion for Truth, which is focused on serving people all around the world who have a hunger for the truth of God’s word.

With so many variants on the definition of what Biblical truth is today, Jim shared some interesting insights regarding the root cause of there being nearly tens of thousands of flavors of truth today.

“It is an oxymoron to say this is what my opinion of the truth is, unfortunately everyone is pulling from a different standard. Either something is true or something is not true, and we use real methods of investigation, discovery, and interpretation to discover what that truth is. For the most part most people that have multiple different methods of truth are using manmade or opinionated methods rather than tried and true methods like historical, legal or scientific methods, or real Biblical hermeneutical principals to extrapolate truth.”
