GENERAL MEETING March 3 , 2024 2 PM Canterbury Park , Shakopee , MN MINUTES
Board Members Present : James Duenow , Lori Taylor , Rachel Duenow , Julie Gintner , Paul Hansen , Steve Bobzin , Amber Duncanson , Karson Duncanson , Ann Goebel , Keith Sather , Julia Northwick
Members Absent : N / A Meeting was called to order by President James Duenow at 2:05 pm . Public Open Comment : None Secretary ’ s Report : Liz Bauer
Motion made by Natali Steffenson ( Northwest Saddle Club ), seconded by Raela Hines ( Gopher Saddle Club ) to approve the October 3rd , 2023 , General Meeting Minutes . Motion carried unanimously .
Treasurer ’ s Report : Arlene Bayer

The Statement of Profit / Loss was presented , which showed Income , and expenses as of 12 / 31 / 2023 . Net income / loss for 2023 was $ 112,793.79 . The WSCA Champ Show Profit / Loss comparison was presented which showed the profit from the 2023 Champ Show in the amount of $ 79,543.69 .
Motion made by Steve Bobzin ( Hidden Birch Saddle Club ), seconded by Paul Miller ( Bootjack Saddle Club ), to accept the Treasurer ’ s Report subject to audit from December 31 st , 2023 . Motion carried unanimously .
Correspondence : There have been 13 club memberships received since February 7 th , totaling $ 1185 . 2024 memberships to date total 159 clubs .
Committee Reports : Championship Horse Show : James Duenow
James started off by thanking everyone who helped secure sponsorships for 2023 . Ribbons have been ordered for Champ Show . 2 walk / trot classes have been added to 2024 Champ show . There are 2 rule petitions being worked on for Ranch Horse and walk / trot classes for the next printing of the rulebook . A “ Proof of Participation ” form was made and will be made available on the website . This form will be required for exhibitors wishing to show in Walk / Trot classes at Champ Show . This form is to ensure that the exhibitor did in fact show in a Walk / Trot class at Club level prior to attending Champ Show . The form is the exhibitor ’ s responsibility to have completed . There is a portion of the form to be completed by the show committee . All the Champ Show pages on the website have been updated to the 2024 information . The Board has made the decision to move away from Equiscribe for the entry system of Champ Show . There will be more information to come , but for the time being , qualifications will continue to be housed in champshow . org . James asked that those in attendance help share the news , to get everyone on page for using champshow . org . Instructions for using champshow . org can be found on the website .

Menomonie is interested in performing in drills / squares at the State Fair , which will add to a total of 3 Drills / squares teams . Drills / squares continues to be a great historical element for WSCA Heritage . James has sent an email to Sam at State Fair with a proposal , to make it worth it for Drills / Squares groups to perform at the State Fair .
