Meeting was called to order by President James Duenow at 11:00am . Public Open Comment : None Secretary ’ s Report : Liz Bauer
Motion made by Julie Gintner , seconded by Lori Taylor to approve the February 07 , 2024 , Board Meeting Minutes . Motion carried unanimously .
Treasurer ’ s Report : Arlene Bayer
As of 03 / 01 / 2024 Checking $ 80,424.92 CD ’ s-Minnco CU $ 67,835.84

Balance Sheet and Income Statement was presented , YTD Net Income ( Loss ) is $ 8,253.69 and LYTD Net Income ( Loss ) was ($ 9,581.24 ). Final payment from Equiscribe has been received . Even though the payment was for 2023 Champ Show , this is shown in 2024 because that is when the check was received . A check was received from University of Minnesota for stall down payment in the amount of $ 3,937.50 . A check was received in the amount of $ 79 from Work-comp because they had overcharged us .
Motion made by Karson Duncanson , seconded by Julia Northwick , to accept the Treasurer ’ s Report subject to audit from March 1 st , 2024 . Motion carried unanimously .
Correspondence : There have been 13 club memberships received since February 7 th , totaling $ 1185 . 2024 memberships to date total 159 clubs . Liz is working on getting the insurance renewed for 2024 . Arlene will renew the Non-profit status with the State of Minnesota .
Committee Reports : Championship Horse Show : James Duenow
Ribbons have been ordered for Champ Show . All of the Champ Show pages on the website have been updated to the 2024 information . The “ Proof of Participation ” form was presented and will be made available on the website . This form will be required for exhibitors wishing to show in Walk / Trot classes at Champ Show . This form is to ensure that the exhibitor did in fact show in a Walk / Trot class at Club level prior to attending Champ Show . The form is the exhibitor ’ s responsibility to have completed . There is a portion of the form to be completed by the show committee . The Board has made the decision to move away from Equiscribe for the entry system of Champ Show . The New Entry system and Show management software is called “ Horse Show for Windows ”. A budget for both 2024 and 2025 was presented for approval . After discussion , an addition was made to the budget to include cost of any professional management resources .
