The Dental Society of Chester County and Delaware County hosts several Give Kids A Smile( GKAS) events every year, and held two within the past few months.
On October 28 they held their fall event at Dr. Theresa Devine’ s office in Broomall, where Chester-Delaware member volunteers, including Drs. Tamara Brady, Soula Christou, Jyoti Dangi, Theresa Devine, Ronald Heier, Linda Himmelberger, Bernie Logan, and Katie Woehling-Antoian provided over $ 9,000 worth of dental care for 18 student patients. For patients that required further care, Precision Endodontics provided two pro bono molar root canal therapies, Dr. Devine offered to crown those two molars; while pediatric dentists Drs. Montgomery-Bucks member Dr. Hadi Ghazzouli offered comprehensive care for two young Upper Merion School District students in his King of Prussia office.
Chester-Delaware spread some early holiday cheer at another event on December 6 at Community Volunteer in Medicine( CVIM), where over $ 16,000 worth of treatment was provided to 25 children. Volunteers included Drs. Tamara Brady, Judy Buxton, Nina Golojuch, Linda Himmelberger, Bernie Logan, Stephanie McGann, Hilda Villegas, and Mina Yacoub.
