The Alliance of Lancaster County Dental Society
The Alliance of Lancaster County Dental Society ( ALCDS ) once again teamed up with the Boy Scouts of Troop 84 to put together dental kits as a NCDHM service project .
The scouts were instrumental in the dental kit stuffing project where over 1,000 kits were prepared for the needy . The kits contained a toothbrush , toothpaste , floss and mouthwash , and were delivered to ten organizations throughout Lancaster County , including shelters , clinics and food hubs . The ALCDS extends a huge thank you to Troop 84 for helping them improve the dental health of the community !
In addition to their dental kits , the ALCDS also sponsors their own NCDHM poster contest each year . Their contest is comprised of three age groups , where the top three winners in each group receive a monetary prize , a certificate , and their picture displayed in their dentist ’ s office for the month of February . For the first time , they had a tie for third place and had ten winners instead of nine ! Congratulations to them all !
