National Children ’ s Dental Health Month 2022
Fourth District
On March 11 , Dr . Tim Medianick and hygienist Teresa Hanna of Boulevard Dental Associates in Reading did a dental presentation and dental exams at Brecknock Elementary and dental presentations at Cumru and Mifflin Park Elementary Schools .
Fifth District
Smiles by Shannon
On February 4 , PDA member Dr . Jennifer Shannon hosted a Give Kids a Smile ( GKAS ) event at her office , Smiles by Shannon Dental .
Dr . Shannon ’ s office saw eight children that day , ranging from ages 5-14 years old , and each child received a cleaning , exam , radiographs and fluoride treatment . In addition , six composite restorations were completed for those who needed it . Unfortunately , due to unfavorable weather conditions , seven additional children scheduled for the GKAS event were unable to attend . As this happened last year as well , Dr . Shannon is considering moving future events to the summer to avoid possible school or weather conflicts .
