Answer: Spring is the season of shedding for many dogs! To manage your dog ' s coat, you ' ll need to pick up some helpful tools. Here ' s a guide to some staples you should consider:
• Slicker Brush- This brush is ideal for removing tangles and mats and works well on most types of coats, especially those that are curly and dense.
• Deshedding Tools- These are invaluable during shedding season, as they reach deep into a dog ' s double coat to remove the loose undercoat. The Furminator is a good choice.
• Undercoat rakes- This type of brush is best for dogs with thick, heavy coats. They remove loose fur from the undercoat without damaging a dog ' s topcoat.
• Hypoallergenic Shampoo & Conditioner- It ' s always best to use a hypoallergenic shampoo and conditioner in case your dog has sensitive skin. It will clean without irritation and soothe your dog ' s skin.
