” The Dinner” was a recordbreaking event
What a success“ The Dinner” was. I am pleased to share the results with everyone. The Dinner raised over $ 58,000, a record-breaking year. I wish a heartfelt thank you to all those who attended and our wonderful sponsors. Your generosity was
LOFFINK overwhelming and is greatly appreciated. Kudos to the members of the Cypress Branch of the Boys & Girls Aid for your participation. Most importantly, I wish a big thank you to the volunteers. They put many hours into trying to make this event special. A special thank you goes to a few ladies that stood out among the volunteers. Lynn Theis’ s effort was extraordinary. She managed to make the silent auction a memorable and successful part of the event. She was relentless and positively amazing, and all the while never appeared exhausted or under pressure.
In addition, under the leadership of Steph Pump and Judy Thie, president and vice president respectively, the night went off without a hitch. Their management and attention to detail created an environment of excitement and anticipation among the members for the past several months

of preparation. The Dinner could not have been what it was before and after if it had not been for the effort of Ashley Messer, our liaison from the Boys & Girls Aid Headquarters. Finally, I want to shout out to the CCC staff, Brooke and Jim especially, for their cooperation and extra things they did. We are pleased that we were able to bring the event back to Charbonneau.
There are always lessons learned and areas that may need improvement and, with feedback given to the Board of the Cypress Branch, next year should be that much better.
