Wilsonville provides grant for landscape improvements
By DAVE MAUK Charbonneau resident
In April, the Charbonneau Community Foundation was awarded $ 10,000 from the city of Wilsonville’ s Community Enhancement Grant program. The project is for landscape improvements at the north-side corners of the streets accessing the Country Club Estates neighborhood, off French Prairie Road. Work will be started and completed by summer’ s end. We’ re grateful for the community’ s support, and that Wilsonville collaborates with its neighborhoods, enhancing the quality of life in the city.
Additionally, the Charbonneau Community Foundation, due to directed gifts from community donors, made a grant to the Charbonneau Country Club for four memorial benches to be installed at Edith Green Park. This has been a vision for those who have wished to have a lasting tribute to a beloved pet, or those who loved those pets.

and pictured are: Tim Tyler, Bill Stout, John Meyers, Randy Shearer, Tom Taylor and Gene Harp. Not pictured but also helping cook was Don Mason. Music was provided by the 18-piece, New Horizons Big Band of Tualatin. CMC’ s own Ron Swanson is a member, playing saxophone. There were also rumors of spontaneous dancing breaking out after the dinner. A huge shout out to all those who donated crock pots to help with the dinner and our cooks. Funds will support the Charbonneau Cup.
