getting invitations to play through the Golf Genius website . This year a second step has been added to the invitation . Once you have indicated your status as “ playing ,” you will get a second message asking you to confirm that you are indeed playing . You must then click on the “ confirm ” button to complete the transaction with Golf Genius . Another email will be sent offering you the opportunity to opt out of playing at a later time if needed as it was in the past .

This year , the Men ’ s club is initiating a buddy system for new members . An established member of the CMC will pair up with a new member acting as a mentor and a source of information regarding Charbonneau , and Men ’ s Club play on our three nines . Having a resource is key to helping form lasting bonds and to create interest in serving on the board and within the Charbonneau community . If any current CMC members are interested in assisting the new members , please contact Richard McLeod .

Change is coming to the CMC

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new website for the

Charbonneau Men ’ s Club . Our new online home is now operational at https :// cmcgolf . org . A catchy URL that is short and , hopefully , easy to remember .

The new website offers a comprehensive list of all upcoming golf and social events , ensuring you never miss out on the fun and competition . Our website now integrates seamlessly with Golf Genius . This means you can now access all the information you need about upcoming CMC rounds , directly through our website . After a round is completed , results and Clubhouse Credits will be available immediately once the data is entered . Click on the 18-hole tab which will guide you to Golf Genius .

Additionally , we will add support to allow payment for dues and events using credit cards . You may still continue to use personal checks as in the past . Checks and cash will continue to be paid directly to the pro shop for our weekly scheduled golfing functions . A memo has been sent to all CMC members with a link to a short tutorial on navigating the new website , and how to make the most of the site ’ s features .

One benefit of living in our community is being surrounded by a variety of professionals , who are willing to share their expertise . I ’ ve had a few comments about some of the information in the Villager coming rather late , or well after an event has taken place . Just as an F . Y . I ., the articles you see in the Villager are required to be submitted the month prior to publication . This gives the editor enough time to clean up our grammar , add pictures and change the layout so our paper is attractive and flows best . He does a great job with this , as I ’ m sure many of you will agree .
