Owen , Fieweger and Lancaster apply for board seats

The Charbonneau Country Club Nominating Committee on Mar . 24 interviewed candidates expressing interest in serving on the CCC Board of Directors . Based on extensive interviews by the three-person committee , three candidates were recommended to and accepted by the board at its April 4 meeting to appear on the May ballot .
Linda Owen
Linda Owen has served on the CCC Board of Directors for three years , and is seeking to serve a second three-year term . She presently serves as treasurer of the board , and is active on the board ’ s asset management and communications committees .
Linda and her husband Dale have lived in Charbonneau for 12 years , moving to the community from Bend to be closer to their seven grandchildren . Prior to retirement Linda was a legal secretary , and an administrative assistant to a chief bankruptcy judge . In addition , she was the Human Resources director for a Chapter 13 judge , and developed a debtor education program to assist individuals experiencing financial challenges . She also served as the president of the National Judicial Assistance Board .
Here in Charbonneau , in addition to her service on the CCC Board of Directors , Linda has served on Board of Directors of the Charbonneau Women ’ s Golf Association and the Charbonneau Women ’ s Association .
LANCASTER OWEN FIEWEGER
Linda views the current CCC board as cohesive and forward-thinking , and seeks to be a “ solutions-driven problem solver ” in a second board term .
Mary Fieweger
Mary Fieweger has lived in Charbonneau with her husband Joe for eight years , and seeks a first term on the CCC Board of Directors . An avid volunteer and fundraiser , Mary has chaired the Charbonneau Ladies Niners Golf annual Pink Ball Golf Tournament for five years , helping to raise over $ 650,000 for cancer research , and has been president of the Niners board for three terms . She also originated and chaired the Niners ’ annual Christmas gift wrap program that raises funds for various Wilsonville nonprofit organizations , among other philanthropic ventures .
Mary has experience serving on several nonprofit boards of directors , including chapters of the American Red Cross and the United Way . She was also an active board member of Operation
Bootstrap , which assisted individuals and families in need of food , clothing and shelter , and the St . Michael ’ s Hospital Board of Directors in Stevens Point , WI . She also served as president of the hospital ’ s 140-member volunteer auxiliary . Mary was recognized as an “ Outstanding Young Woman in America ” in 1983 . In addition to her volunteer work , Mary has extensive experience as a sales executive , and as an instructor teaching about new glaucoma technology to medical professionals at various universities .
Mary counts among her strong skills listening , face-to-face communication , problem solving and fundraising . She believes she can contribute to the board in the areas of hospitality , outreach to residents and communication . She views herself as a connector , coordinator and communicator and as someone with a strong ethic to give of herself to the community .
Glenn Lancaster Glenn and his wife Anna moved to
Charbonneau in 2019 . Glenn is retired , having worked for over 40 years in the electric utility field . Most recently , he was an owner / partner in Stephens , McCarthy , Lancaster , LLC , a manufacturer ’ s representative serving the electric utility industry in nine states . During his time as a business owner Glenn states that he faced many challenges , and developed stills in business planning , operations management , problem analysis and problem solving and negotiation , all areas that he believes will be of value to the CCC board . He has relied on “ best practices thinking ” during his business career , and would bring that ethic to a directorship on the CCC board . He values orderly , respectful , fact-based board deliberation and debate on issues that affect Charbonneau ’ s residents , and describes himself as open to fresh ideas and different perspectives .
If he is elected Glenn sees his role as first gaining a good understanding of board processes and procedures , learning about his fellow board members and their roles , gaining clarity about recent board activities and ensuring an understanding of future directions . He sees the next 10 years as a time of continual community renewal and improvement , and wants to be an integral part of planning for the future , with a particular emphasis on public safety and upgrades to common areas . He has been involved with CCC ’ s Emergency Preparedness & Public Safety Committee .
Glenn is a board member of Compassionate Hands International , which sources and delivers medical equipment and supplies to thirdworld nations . The organization most recently began funding local well drilling for clean water in India .
