RIOR
and I are in the Golf Cart Modi-
fied competition, who I am, and
general plans of the extensively
modified custom built one-off
E-Z-GO golf cart we would be
building, unfortunately, all I could
promise the sponsors is that we
were going into this competition
to hold up the first place trophy
on December 31st., and that I
could promise them extensive
coverage and exposure during this
competition on all of Facebook as
well as Golf Car Options magazine.
While I am talking about Golf Car
Options magazine, they have been
a very active participant in this
build-off, they have been monitor-
ing each contestant’s projects and
progress, if you have not read this
magazine, pick it up, go online
subscribe to it, and let the golf car
enthusiast in your life know about
it too!
I also told them about our plans
for donating the cart to quadvets.
org to support their organization.
When the first sponsor answered
my request and came on board I
felt a very strong relief, within the
next week we were overwhelmed
by the amount of positive re-
sponses we had received, some
with full sponsorship on their
products, some with partial
amounts of their products, and
yes we had some that either
never responded or just did not
have the financial means to offer
sponsorship at this time.
WHY QUADVETS.ORG
While speaking to a few different
veterans organizations I recalled
a Golf Cart show Bryan Frye and
I had attended at InterStateGolf-
Cars.com, Hammond, La. in the
summer of 2018. Their main focus
was raising money for military
veterans.
I spoke with Mrs. Julie at Inter-
state Golf Cars, and she was all
in. Not just to help me contact the
group but to also help me with
sponsorship for the build, their
team has been awesome and has
really stepped up to the plate
with E-Z-GO parts that we need for
this build.
She gave me contact info to the
Quadvets.org and the directors’
name, Mr. Wallace Sibley.
I made contact with him to
discuss logistics and what my
mission and goals are. We set up
a meeting and he brought me
in for a full facility tour of their
program.
The decision was made this is the
organization I wanted to support.
Their organization was perfect and
the guys there are just like ALL
VETERANS, loving, caring, apprecia-
tive and most of all, DESERVING of
OUR SUPPORT!!
Please follow their Facebook page
Quad Vets as well as their web site
quadvets.org you will quickly see
why we choose this organization.
Well the search continued for
sponsorship and more awesome
companies came on board with

We are still reaching out to a few
prospective sponsors for specific
needs. I will recognize each as
they commit to the team and give
the approval to recognize.
Remember this is a yearlong
competition so we are not shar-
ing a whole lot of information at
this time concerning the logistics
and secrets of our build cart as
there are some top-notch builders
we are competing against. A few
small details, it will be a stretched
limo frame, it will be lifted,
wheels are 18”, tires are 33”
mildly aggressive off-road tires, it
will have a totally custom dash,
pretty wild audio system, and also
a pretty extensive lighting system.
This cart will be powered by a
very high output custom controller
by Alltraxinc.com, a very powerful
high torque electric motor from
Plumquick.com with plans for
a Lithium 48 volt 100Ah battery
pack. And of course a very special
custom body and paint scheme.
We did hold a “name our cart
competition“ with followers from
our Facebook page at Golf Carts
Modified and the winner would
win 5 raffle tickets for the drawing
that will be held in June of 2020.
The winning entry was submitted
by Chuck Albert in Mount Vernon
Ohio with his suggestion of “SI-
LENT WARRIOR”
