HOT TEAS WITH A
COOL TWIST..........
Turkish-Me! Some Hot Apple Tea...
This one may sound a little strange to you but trust me it's great. My little girl loves this when she is sick and it reminds me of the (not so healthy) hot lemonade my mum used to make many moons ago, when I was unwell. The comics also helped. It is high in sugar so watch your intake if that is an issue. If you cannot tolerate sugar try boiling apple peels (been making apple pie)? Hold those skins. Boil for 10mins to make some apple water. If you follow that method add your spices to the water and apple peel.
Don't add Matcha to boiling water as it will stew and taste bitter. Always add the slightly cooled boiled and strained water to the Matcha powder that has already been mixed with a little water mixed to a smooth paste.
Ingredients:

Cup of Apple Juice
Slice of Ginger
Squeeze of Lemon Juice
Cinnamon Stick (or a pinch of cinnamon powder)
Directions:
Mix your Matcha with the lemon juice and a drop or two of water to a smooth paste. The lemon will help keep oxidation at bay.
Heat the apple juice with the ginger and cinnamon till boiling. Let cool a little and pour over Matcha in the glass. If using the cinnamon stick add to the glass.
Chilled: Pour over ice.
