WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE TO YOUNG PEOPLE ABOUT ENGAGING WITH ARAB ART?
Art is our truest history— because it does not lie. History may be written according to political convenience, but a painting speaks its truth as it is. This is where parents carry a particular responsibility: to guide their children towards their cultural identity. Arab art is no less valuable than Western art, and it deserves a far greater share of our attention. Yet ignorance keeps us at a distance from appreciating it— and some in power prefer to keep people within that ignorance, the better to govern them. For this reason, investing in culture and education is the surest path to raising generations who understand the value of art. Personally, I take great joy in meeting young people who possess artistic sensibility and cultural awareness. That is the future I am working towards.

الفنّ هو تاريخنا الأصدق ، لأنه لا يكذب. قد يُكتَب التاريخ وفق أهواء ، أمّا اللوحة فتنطق بحقيقتها كما هي. وهنا يبرز دور الأهل في توجيه أبنائهم نحو هويتهم الثقافية. الفنّ العربي لا يقلّ قيمة عن الفنّ الغربي ، ويستحقّ مساحة أوسع من اهتمامنا. غير أنّ الجهل يباعد بيننا وبين تقديره ، بل إنّ بعضٍ الأنظمة تفضّ ل بقاء الشعوب في دائرة الجهل لإحكام السيطرة. لذلك ، فإنّ

HOW HAS THE DALLOUL ART FOUNDATION( DAF) PLAYED ITS ROLE IN THIS?
For seventeen years, I have worked to raise awareness of Arab art through the Dalloul Art Foundation, through school visits and workshops. The Foundation has also embraced technology tools to deepen young people’ s engagement with art and has grown today into a comprehensive reference in this field, housing a collection of approximately 3,000 works. Anyone seeking a single platform that offers thorough knowledge of Arab art, and its leading figures will find in DAF their essential destination.
AND WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE DALLOUL ART FOUNDATION?
The Foundation exists to introduce the pioneers of modern and contemporary Arab art— locally and internationally— through exhibitions, publications, books, and interviews. It is a non-profit organisation that may occasionally sell certain works from its collections to acquire pieces of greater significance, always in service of its strategy. As for financial profit, it has never been my concern. I was once told:“ If you work with integrity, money will come from where you least expect it.” The Dalloul Artist Collective( DAC) is the Foundation’ s commercial arm, born in response to requests from artists who wished to have their work managed, archived, and promoted. It offers advisory and management services alongside strategic career development.
كيف لعبت « دافٌ » دورهاً في هذا المجاًل ؟
منذ سبعة عشر عامًا ، أعمل علّى التعريف بالفنّ العربي عبر“ مؤسسة دلّول للفنون ،” من خلال تنظيم زيارات مدرسيّة وورش عمل. كما اعتمدت المؤسّ سة أدوات التكنولوجيا لتعزيز تفاعل الشباب مع الفنّ ، حتى أصبحت اليوم مرجعًا شاملاً في هذا المجال ، يضمّ نحو ثلاثة آلاف لوحة. ومن يبحث عن منصّ ة واحدة توفّر معرفة وافية بالفنّ العربي وروّاده ، يجد في « داف » وجهته

وإلى ماًذا تهدفٌ“ مؤسّ سةٌ دلّول للفنون ”؟
تهدف المؤسّ سة إلى التعريف بروّاد الفنّ العربي ، محلّيًا ودوليًا ، عبر المعارض والمنشورات والكتب والمقابلات. وهي مؤسّ سة غير ربحيّة ، قد تضطرّ أحيانًا إلى بيع بعضٍ الأعمال ضمن مجموعاتها لاقتناء أعمال أكثر أهمية ، بما يخدم: استراتيجيتها. وبالنسبة إليّ ، لا يشكّل الربح المادّيّ هاجسً ا ، فقد قيل لي يومًا” إذا عملت بإخلاصّ ، أتاك المال من حيث لا تحتسب.” أما“ ملتقى دلّول“
فهو الذراع التجاريّ للمؤسّ سة ، نشأ استجابة لطلب فنانين رغبوا في ،) DAC( إدارة أعمالهم وأرشفتها وتسويقها ، ويقدّم خدمات استشارية وإدارية ، إلى. جانب بناء مسارات استراتيجية لمسيرتهم
