Now in its 22nd year, MASC Arts Awards is a
beloved event that celebrates middle-grade youth
who are passionate about the arts but don’t have
the financial means to pursue their artistic
development beyond the classroom. Students are
nominated by teachers in dance, drama, literary
arts, music and visual arts and winners are
awarded scholarships with professional arts
organizations including Ottawa Children’s
Theatre, Ottawa School of Art, The School of
Dance, and Bluesfest School of Music and Art
as well as mentorship with a published author. All
nominees are celebrated at an annual Gala Event
which will be held again at the National Arts
Centre, on Monday, May 25, 2020.
The Honorary Patron of the event will be
Columbian visual artist and Latin jazz singer
Claudia Salguero, who will offer a heartfelt
performance during the evening. Please mark
your calendars now to join us in honouring these
young artists as they receive their awards on
Canada’s National Stage.
