The Thousand Year Old Forest (Grades: 1* - 12/sec V)
Wearable Art
(Grades: 1* - 12/sec V) Using found
objects Migno will guide students
into creating beautiful pieces of
mixed media modern art, resulting in
jewelry (bracelets, pins, brooches, pendants)
or small pieces of stand-alone artwork. The
artist will provide a variety of materials: wood,
ceramic and reused game pieces such as scrabble
letters and dominoes. The artist will guide
students to manipulate other materials such as
aluminum foil, glue, ink and more, to create a small
composition of texture and colour. Migno will
encourage students to reflect on transforming
everyday materials into miniature works of art.

Collective Mural Project
FIVE FuLL DAYS :
MAxIMuM : 30 STuDENTS
HALF DAY : TWO 90 MINuTE SESSIONS
Offered as an individual or collaborative project,
students will create a ‘millenary tree’ on wood
panels with recycled materials. Participants will be
introduced to recycled-art and mixed-media
techniques, raising awareness of the importance of
recycling and protecting the environment. All the
trees created in different venues in the region will
form an imaginary millennial forest, that forges
links between communities.

EACH DAY : FOuR 1 HOuR SESSIONS , MAxIMuM OF 240 STuDENTS ,
15 STuDENTS PER SESSION
Materials not included; dependent on project.
Four full days spent with students. One full day will be
spent without students, preparing and finishing the project.
Produce a variety of two- and three-
dimensional art works using elements, principles and
techniques of visual arts to communicate feelings,
ideas and understanding; elements of design. Use of
a variety of materials, tools and techniques.
