Introduction to singing and vocal harmony
Following a short performance, the artist will
explore the evolution of music, musical styles and
principles of rhythmic loops created by our own
voices. Guiding students through vocal warm-up
exercises, Abel will teach singing techniques as
well as how to create and reproduce sounds and
rhythmic sequences. Divided into subgroups,
students will create their own segments. At the
end of the workshop, a few participants will lead
the class in the interpretation of a new musical
segment they have invented, along with the artist
Step-dancing rhythmic dance This energetic and
fun workshop offers students the opportunity to
learn a rhythmic and dynamic dance. Under the
direction of the artist, students create a
choreography of movements and rhythms
by resonating different parts of the body
(hands, feet, torso, arms and voice). At the
end of the workshop, they will have learned
a short step-dancing choreography and have
acquired a base to create their own
movements and rhythms with their bodies.
