Trip to Mars (Air Quality)

By: Rebecca White

If a group of people were sent to Mars to make a colony on mars. What would be the human health issues, how would they be solved? The Mars atmosphere is 95% carbon dioxide, 3% nitrogen, and 1.6% argon. Therefore, there is less than 1% oxygen on Mars. Were earth has 21% oxygen in its atmosphere. This creates a major problem of how would human’s breathing cycle on Mars with no oxygen

Proposal:

Oxygen will be produced by splitting water into its consistent parts, Hydrogen and Oxygen. This provides breathable air.
