Marr Running Club
Written by Isla Anderson, S3
Mrs. Ledingham and Mr. Marshall have started up a running club for S4 onwards, to keep students active while keeping them safe after school. They wanted to start this club to help students learn how to run in cold and dark conditions. It is on every Wednesday 3:30pm- 4:30pm. From someone who does running this is an excellent idea as it can also help students bond over their love for running and make friends. And it will help students with their stamina. They run on the cycle path at Marr so come along if you have nothing to do on a Wednesday afternoon. If you want to know, more go, see Mr. Marshall or Mrs. Ledingham for more details.
S2 Climate Change Competition
Written by Nualua Kelly-Towie, S4
There is an S2 climate change competition happening in the school at the minute where the S2 ' s had to create an animation in their business class which tells a clear story about the climate disaster that is occurring on the planet. The deadline for the animations to be submitted was the end of January. There are 10 business classes and there will be one winning animation from each of those classes. Those 10 winning animations will then be posted on the school social media platforms( and the people who made them will receive a certificate) and will also be sent to the Geography department who will then decide the one overall winner. The overall winner will receive a grand prize. Good luck to all the S2 ' s who are taking part in this incredible competition.
