Microsoft Showcase School

We are delighted to announce that Marr College has been awarded Microsoft Showcase School status – making us 1 of only 5 secondary schools in the whole of Scotland to achieve this accolade . Last year there were only 6 secondary schools in the whole of the UK given Microsoft Showcase School status so we are over the moon to have been successful .
Showcase Schools create studentcentred , immersive , and inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning , stimulating development of essential future-ready skills to empower students .
The Microsoft Showcase Schools Program is an opportunity to engage with Microsoft and likeminded school leaders around the world to deepen and expand education transformation using the Education Transformation Framework . Being a Showcase School allows us to :
• Share insights , best practices , and engage in local or global Microsoft events
• Enjoy Microsoft partner offers and product support , digital transformation guidance and access to resources and latest research
• Help shape the future of Microsoft education products , contribute to the vision of schools and students around the world , and elevate the school ’ s visibility and role as a leader .
Last year we took part in the ‘ Microsoft Incubator Program ’ and worked with schools from across the UK to develop strategic plans for the use of digital tools to enhance learning and teaching at Marr College . Miss Wyllie ( PT Business Education ) along with Mr Simpson ( PT Computing ) submitted an extensive application at the end of the Incubator Program to document the good practice from across the school , our digital strategy and plans for the future . Marr College has since been added to the Global Showcase Team to collaborate with other schools from around the world .
