Marr Malawi Sponsored Walk

In early September , students participated in the Marr - Malawi sponsored walk . Through the event we managed to fundraise a whopping £ 1,721 across the 6 houses , through both online and physical donations , with Darley topping the donations !
Mr . Harris encourages students to get involved at his Marr Malawi Group every Wednesday lunchtime in room 232 , to plan and help organise upcoming joint Marr - Malawi events , such as tree planting , recycling and other suitability themed projects . All that is required is an interest in the partnership and commitment to help develop it . See Mr Harris to find our more !
Here is a quote from one of our S6 students involved in organising the event :
“ Our school is consistently working towards raising money to help Malawi , specifically the children going to school . On the 15th of September Marr college pupils took part in the Malawi walk , a successful £ 1,721 was made . All donations contribute to the advancement of education in Malawi by working side by side with the local community to build new classrooms or to refurbish existing ones , improving the learning environment available to Malawian children . A huge effort was made , and we are proud of everyone !”
