Young Enterprise
Our Young Enterprise team have been meeting with Mrs Thomson ( Business Education ) and their Young Enterprise business advisors to discuss plans for this year – they are hoping to create and sell a variety of different Christmas gift hampers . These will be available to order both in school and in the local community . Watch this space !
N5 Financial Services
Our Financial Services students have been learning all about personal finance this month . So far , they have looked at methods of payment , reasons and methods of saving , borrowing and where to seek guidance and advice on financial matters . We also discussed the impact of financial matters on mental health and the importance of budgeting .
Students shared some of the key topics they would like to learn about ( shown below ). Over the course of the next month they will be learning about tax , National Insurance , pensions , payslips , interest and more ! Keep up the good work everyone .
We have been so impressed with our new S1 students . They have made a fantastic start to the year and settled in quickly to their new routines at Marr College . Students have been learning all about Teams and the school Student Digital Fire Drill to help and support their learning across all subjects . They even took part in some online video calls and were learning all about Teams assignments for homework . Well
