Some of our S1s went to the Whitelee windfarm. We got to do a bus tour where we saw a few of the wind turbines; they were so tall! We then went back inside and got to do an experiment on which shapes of blades work best and spin the fastest. It was very fun, and a few people asked if we could do that at Marr. We learned a lot about wind turbines and all kinds of renewable energy. one of our s1s said“ Whitelee windfarm was a super great, super fun experience and I think everyone should go pay it a visit”. It helped us out with our project. The wind turbines were awesome! They had 2 different sizes of them and though the small one was still big, the big one was HUGE. I would recommend it to my peers! Thank you for having us Whitelee windfarm. it was a great opportunity and I ' m so glad I got to go and I ' m sure everyone else who went would say the same!
Our P7 Parents’ Information Evening was extremely well attended and positively received. Thank you to Mr Hobson for organising such a successful event, and to all partners including our Parent Council, Thriving Communities, Louise McCartan, SAC Info & Advice Hub and SDS for their support.

S1 Community Day

Our S1 Community Day was a huge success! Thank you to the wonderful Mr Lindsay for co-ordinating the whole event.
Pupils worked across Troon supporting local organisations, taking part in cleanups and giving back to the community. It was wonderful to see our values of Community, Ambition, Respect and Equality in action.
